Tony met and married Kerry Paterson from Perth, Western Australia in 1986. In 1987 both Tony and Kerry gave their hearts to Jesus and started a new life, they are blessed with 4 children; Sommer, Billy, Violet and Isaac. The family follows Jesus and have faith in His ability to create and direct their lives through trials and victories.

After a major car accident in 1995, which resulted in a convalescing period for the next three years, Tony learned to understand what his destiny in Christ was to become. Through the trials of convalescing, he was purged of blaming God, family and the church for his state of faithlessness and sin. One day while walking on the beach Tony heard the audible voice of God…‘
you are my son, I am not condemning you, I have a plan and an assignment for your life, so stop idolising your sinful nature and give it to Me for I am cleansing you’. This was a tipping point in Tony’s life which strengthened him to repent and pursue God with a renewed passion.
A trip to the Toronto Airport Fellowship in 1997 had a very definite impact on Tony’s life as a Christian. Of the experience he has said, "for perhaps the first time in my life I really caught hold of Sonship and what that means, of my Father in heavens unconditional love for me and in turn that touched something so deep within me that I have never been the same since".
The youngest son of 3 children to hard working parents who farmed pineapples while his father also held a job at the local sugar mill. As a boy, most of Tony’s time outside of school was spent learning the value of being productive and gaining various skills in farming, construction and retail.
At 16, bought his first drum kit and set about teaching himself to play. At 17 he left home and pursued a musical career playing drums, singing and managing tours for bands. Throughout this 9 year period Tony had both good and bad experiences and came to realize that that no matter how large the audiences became the personal satisfaction did not increase but rather waned.
